what is the purpose of wearing the hijab?

hijab

Islam imposed the hijab for several, in order to protect and maintain believing women, to show their chastity, and to prevent immorality from being exposed to them.

And in Allah saying: “That is purer for your hearts and their hearts” there is an indication that there is a link between what the eye sees and what the heart relates to. In Islam, their eyes are hated.

And in order that the foreign man’s dealings with women are not according to her appearance and beauty, but rather according to her humanity and morals, which results in her obtaining her rights without discrimination.

hijab definition

Hhijab linguistically: to cover, and we say to hijaab something, i.e. to cover it. In His saying – the Highest -: (And when you recite the Qur’an, we place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter a concealed veil).

And that it does not heal or describe, and this means that nothing of the body appears through the garment and that it never describes the details of her body.

what is a hijab?

Hijap in Islam is the dress that covers all of a woman’s body and her adornment, in a way that prevents strangers from seeing anything of her body or the adornment with which she adorns. Sharia law.

And the huijab is one of the duties that are obligatory for women in Islamic law, whenever the girl reaches the age of commissioning, i.e. the age at which the female sees her menstruation, and at which she reaches the number of women.

Linguistically, the meaning of the hijab muslim revolves around covering, preventing and preventing, and withholding something, i.e. covering it, and a veiled woman, i.e. a woman who has been covered with a hijab girl.

And it came in Surat Maryam in verse 17: “So she took a veil beside them, so We sent to her Our Spirit, and it appeared to her as a normal human being” meaning: “So she took a veil without her family, to protect her from them and from the people.”

why do women wear hijab?

There is no command that Allah Almighty imposes on His servants that does not have an interest for them in this world and the hereafter. Likewise, Allah Almighty has imposed the veil on women for various purposes and rulings, which we summarize as follows:

1- Following the commands of Allah – the Highest – and applying His provisions The purpose of human creation is the worship of Allah and compliance with His commands.

And obedience to Allah is obligatory in everything that He has prescribed, and the commitment of the Muslim woman to her veil is compliance with the command of Allah saying: (O Prophet, say to your wives and daughters and your daughters their robes).

2- In order to protect the woman and protect her from the harm of the sinners, the hijab women

protects the woman from all kinds of harm.

The Almighty said: (That is the lowest that they are known so that they do not harm them), and we find that the meaning of the Qur’anic expression (they do no harm) is quite clear

3- Purification of hearts The commitment of a woman to her veil; He called for the hearts of the believing men and women to be pure and full of piety, as the Almighty said: (And when you ask them for comfort, then ask them from behind a veil, that is purer for you and for your soul.

4- The long hijab is also an indication of noble morals. Chastity and modesty are among the noble manners that are achieved by veiling. He, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: (Modesty brings nothing but good).

5- Muslim women hijab is a reform of the outward appearance. The apparent righteousness of a Muslim woman, by her commitment to her veil, is evidence of the righteousness and purity of her heart.

The righteousness of a woman and the soundness of her piety is undoubtedly evident in her dress. The Almighty said: (And the clothing of piety is better.

why do muslims wear hijabs?

Allah Almighty has imposed the hijab in quran on all Muslim women for the sake of many fruits, which are represented in the following:

  • Following the commands that Allah Almighty commanded, and the commands of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah.
  • Moreover obedience in all matters that are legally obligatory, and among those matters is the veil because of the evidence contained in it in the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet.
  • The hijab achieves modesty for the Muslim woman and the sutrah, as well as providing her with faith and piety. Because Allah did not order the veil only for the believing woman.
  • Hhijab is one of the things that are appropriate for jealousy, and it is a characteristic that normal human beings are inculcated in. Because integrity makes a person not like other women to look at his mahrams.
  • The hijaab is one of the signs of purity and chastity. This is because it prevents immoral people from getting to know the woman, and it also works to purify the heart of the believing woman.

are muslim women required to wear a hijab?

The huijab of a Muslim woman is obligatory on everyone who has reached the age of obligation, which is the age at which a female sees menstruation,

What is meant by the veil in the verse is the covering of one’s hair, and this is an explicit text from the Qur’an, and its significance does not accept interpretation for another meaning.

As for the hadith, the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, says: “O Asmaa, if a woman reaches menstruation, it is not suitable for anyone to be seen except by this and this, and this is what his father narrated.”.

The Muslim girl did not abandon her hijab girl and cover it until after the colonial period when we were affected by a cultural invasion, but – praise be to Allah – here is the Muslim girl everywhere.

Husbands, fathers, and brothers turned back, chanting the verse of veiling to them, so each woman got up to her garment, flattened it, and had it, and went out to the mosque as if crows were on their heads – may Allah be pleased with them.

A person regrets saying that there are suspicions raised about the hijab, including the following:

1- Some of them say to the girl: The veil hides your beauty, but when beauty is common to the wicked who care to satisfy their sick souls by looking at women.

2- It may be said to the girl: Faith is in the heart, but faith is not wishful thinking or adornment, but what settles in the heart and is believed by action, and the veil is evidence of the sincerity of faith and the perfection of response.

3-  Perhaps it was said to you: veiled women are such and such.. and I say: A person does not abandon prayer if there is someone who does not pray well, but the right thing is to be good and call others to be good, and veiled women are in no need of completing that goodness with virtuous morals! And the neediest veiled veils!
